Sunday April 17th

Had a great sabbath. It was "invitational Sunday" and Dale spoke along with the missionaries. Bishop got up and said some really heartfelt things and bore his testimony, which was beautiful, as always. He told us a story of the power of prayer. He had just been on a trip with his family where he and a couple of his older children had taken off on a little kayak adventure while his wife and other children were to stay back at "camp". His wife had a horrible headache before they left and he gave her a blessing and asked her if she was sure they should go, and she said she felt better and to go ahead.  They had fun kayaking and swimming.  Bishop dove down at one point and was observing the beauties beneath when he had a sudden very distinct impression that his wife needed him.  He came back up, told the kids it was time to head back, and they did.  Upon arrival Alyssa was so happy to see him and told him about a half hour ago (just about when he received his impression) her and the other kids had knelt down and prayed that he would know they needed them!! Yes.........the power of prayer.

Then Dale and I went for a walk at Kline line.  It was such a beautiful sunny day.  The air was fresh and clean, we saw a Blue Heron take off in flight (which I haven't seen before), the turtles are back to the little pond where they sun in the good weather.  It was heavenly.

By nighttime we headed  to my parents for family home evening. My brother Jared had put on CD's tons of slides my parents had from when we were little kids..........like I was 3 years old.  We had too much fun watching remembering, laughing! Then we watched a movie "midway to Heaven".  It was touching and funny too (the father was acting like a maniac about his daughter getting serious over this guy).  Afterwards we got to eat moms famous Danish pancake balls "Aebleskiver" with applesauce, cherry honey, pear butter, Oh yeah.........it was good.  by the time we got home I didn't feel like blogging. So here's my  summary of the day. (:
